Prepare for Aged Care Act 2024: Strengthened Standards from 1 Nov 2025
From 1 November, the new Aged Care Act 2024 will come into effect across Australia. The updated standards emphasise dignity, choice, cultural safety, and active participation in care decisions. Providers are expected to deliver care that is respectful, transparent, and tailored to individual needs, with strengthened requirements around safety, staffing, and quality indicators. These reforms aim to ensure every older Australian receives world-class care and support.
