Key Changes

Aged Care with Dignity and Respect

The Aged Care Act 2024 introduces a Statement of Rights that places older people at the centre of care decisions. Providers must ensure care is delivered with respect, autonomy, and cultural safety.

Stronger Infection Prevention & Control

New standards require enhanced IPC governance, environmental hygiene, antimicrobial stewardship, and staff vaccination protocols. IP Leads play a critical role in ensuring compliance.

Deadline: 1 November 2025

All aged care providers must meet the updated standards by this date. Now is the time to review policies, train staff, and prepare your IPC strategy.
