Environmental Cleaning · Aged Care · AU Edition v2.0

Your cleaning program — documented, defensible, and audit-ready.

The IPS Environmental Cleaning Operations Manual is a site-specific operations manual — not a generic SOP pack. Hard copy with section dividers, searchable PDFs for your team, and your first review included.

POL-ENV-001 · Australian Edition · Mapped to Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards

Why this manual

Cleaning SOPs are not a cleaning program.

Assessors and quality teams look for governance, audit cadence, training evidence, and contractor accountability — not just task cards on a wall.

1

Standards-aligned

Mapped to Strengthened Standard 4 (Environment) and Standard 5 (Clinical Care) — plus NSW PD2023_018 and the ACSQHC IPC Guide.

2

Two-tier design

Managers get governance and audit frameworks. Cleaners get task-level SOPs. Everyone has the right level of detail.

3

Evidence-ready

13 appendices — audit tools, training logs, outbreak checklists, product registers — the documentation surveyors expect to see.

Questions

Frequently asked

We already have cleaning SOPs. Do we need this?

Task cards are not a program manual. This document covers governance, audit cadence, escalation, training evidence, and contractor accountability — what quality assessors look for beyond the cleaner's checklist.

We use contracted cleaners. Does it still apply?

Yes. Section 2.4 and the contractor briefing pack are written for contracted models. You remain accountable; the manual helps you document and verify expectations.

What does the first review include?

One IPS review round against your facility inputs — products, functional areas, and key contacts — before final delivery. Future reviews (regulatory change, post-outbreak, audit findings) are $500 each.

We subscribe to the HUB. How does this fit?

The HUB trains your staff. The manual is your facility's documented system of record — the written program you hold up at survey and in quality governance.

Is there a New Zealand edition?

This is the Australian Edition (v2.0). A NZ edition is planned as a separate document after AU validation.

What happens after 31 July?

The manual remains $3,000 with the same inclusions. The July logo-on-cover offer ends 31 July 2026 for orders confirmed with logo file by that date.
